Solid Ground Construction was founded in 2007 by Javad Hashemi, a builder with a lifelong connection to design, construction, and architecture. Growing up, Javad spent much of his time around drawings, plans, and construction conversations — his father was a professional architect contractor and developer, and the exposure shaped his early interest in how buildings come to life. Seeing great design translated into real structures gave him a deep appreciation for both creativity and craftsmanship.

Combining that early influence with a professional background in civil engineering, structural work, and project management, Javad built Solid Ground Construction into a trusted design-build and remodeling company serving Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Santa Monica, Venice, Beverly Hills, Malibu, and all of West Los Angeles.

Javad’s journey started in the field — working hands-on in framing, concrete, construction management, and structural coordination. He learned how buildings function, how materials behave, and how critical planning is to every phase of construction.

As he gained experience, he expanded into project management and full-service general contracting, leading everything from:
